I decided to try out that High Beam mod that allows the High Beams to stay on with the Low Beams. Got the info from www.ls1.com
Pull off the panel under the steering wheel (two 7 mm bolts and two screws). Remove the triangular metal piece that crosses the steering column (two 10 mm nuts). Look down the left side of the steering column. There is a white switch with a brown plug that has two black tabs. If you don't see it click the high beams on and off and look for motion. Squeeze the black tabs and pull the connector off. Now all you have to do is make a connection between the large tan wire and the large yellow wire and put everything back together.
I stuck in a heavy gauge wire temporary to test it out. Later I will splice and solder.
